"Do you believe in fairies? Say quick that you believe. If you believe, Clap your hands!" ~ John Barrie's Peter Pan
I look at the world today... I wonder how many people would clap their hands any more. How many would roll their eyes and sit silent in the theatre... too many I think.
Too many do not see or look for the magic in life. I've looked and all too often I cannot see. But every once in a while there are glittery lights dancing in my peripheral vision. When I look toward them they are gone. Fairies are not afraid. They simply do not want to be seen. They do not need to be.
Believing is what gives them their fairy magic. Believing gives them life. Seeing is for knowing and knowing is not always believing. But if you believe then you know...
I believe... I know... and I always clap.

Thank you! :)
For the record, though, it's James Matthew Barrie.
Check out the new Peter Pan book out:

One thing I DO believe in - is serendipity. I stumbled onto your blog in one of those happy internet accidents - well actually, I don't believe in accidents, so let's call it one of those inscrutable internet cascades - where one thing leads to another & you end up someplace unimagined and marvelous. :)
Anyway... all I wanted to say is I found your blog delightful and inspiring. I am old enough to be your mom, so I feel I should act the part & not gush... still... whenever I start to despair over the bleak and draining media depiction of us (humanity) at our worst, the universe throws me a life preserver & I stumble across something like your blog ...and my faith in people, and the possibility that we're actually worth saving, is bolstered.
Thanks for sharing your take on the world with the rest of us.
